HR Analytics is about understanding the power of Human Resources to transform businesses by using data-based people related decision making across various levels of employee lifecycle management, provides a holistic and fulfilling experience for the employees and world-class performance delivery towards business goals. This advanced-level workshop will help in gathering business acumen and organizational knowledge, linking the metrics to existing metrics, connecting HR data to business operations and finally using it to make relevant business decisions.

Target Audience

Pre-requisites :
  • Reasonable knowledge of statistics including univariate analysis;
  • Understanding of HR metrics, their cause & effect relationship with business and HR outcomes;
  • Graphical and visual representation and interpretation of data;
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency


  • Appreciation of relevance of analytics in HR functions and build association to their organization’s functioning.
  • Ability to understand & apply analytics tools/techniques to carry out in-depth analytics for strategic and day to day HR decision making
  • Conducting exploratory screening analytics in specific workforce issues such as recruitment, turnover, diversity, business outcomes etc.
  • Conducting structured analytics in HR with little or no help
  • Knowledge of building predictive models

  • Data collection & data pre-processing to prepare it ready for analytics
  • Univariate analysis – recap
  • Bayes theorem & application to HR
  • Bi-variate analytics – correlation, hypothesis testing (t-tests, chi-square, ANOVA)
  • Predictive model building – regression models
  • Methods to validate the effectiveness of the analytics model
