How comfortable do you feel about having a conversation about menstrual health at the workplace? What can we do to remove the stigma around menstruation?
Women and girls across the world experience shame & embarrassment while managing their periods, and consequently impacting their life opportunities. We must recognise and frame menstruation as a health issue, not a hygiene issue – a health issue with physical, psychological, and social dimensions, and one that needs to be addressed in the perspective of a life course – from before menarche to after menopause. Access to information, education and self-awareness is critical. Women need an inclusive & responsive environment in which menstruation is not stigmatised but seen as positive & healthy. This practical program is intended to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of menstruation and equip them with practical skills to manage their menstrual health.
