Course Description
Resilience can be defined as the ability of a person to cope and adapt positively to stressors and adversity in life. This may include dealing with bullying at school coping with the death of a loved one etc. Living in a supportive environment with positive role models and mentors can help children to cope with stressors and learn coping skills themselves. When children feel good about themselves, they are more likely to be able to cope with setbacks and adversity. This session will help parents to understand their role in raising resilient children.
